Peonies in November

It's a gray day, in more ways than one.
I am not a fan of November.
I look for things that brighten my spirits and flowers always do the trick.
I happened upon an enchanted place in Michigan this Fall
while exploring with friends-
Karen's Flower Barn in Three Oaks, Michigan.
She grows rows and rows of flowers
and dries them into the most gorgeous bouquets
and hangs them from the rafters in her Barn.

These are dried Peonies!

I did not know you could dry Peonies.
I think Peonies are right there at the top of my list of favorite flowers.

Aren't these gorgeous????

The buds are beautiful, too.
Just a whole lot of potential wrapped up in one gorgeous little package.

Masses of ruffly petals on every flower.
Lush and luxurious.

This is exactly how I bought them, wrapped in florist paper
and that's how I think I will leave them...

Peonies in November!

They would be positively decadent if they were fresh
like these beauties from my friend Alice's garden-

 Breathtaking.

Lucky for me, Alice is very generous with her garden's glories
and someday, I will share her garden with you....

Spring seems like an eternity away right now.
These will help.  A little.
